This is the 5th work shirt I’ve collected, so obviously I truly love the construction, fabrics and style. I’d been waiting to get the wool version because 1. I pretty much exclusively wear black and the wool is the only black option, and 2. as it is “wool” I assumed it would be too heavy for SoCal summers, so waited for winter to order.
The fabric is again - like the others - just beautiful and much lighter weight than anticipated in a good way; could easily wear this well into June. It still has body, but a light wool hand. So yes, it’s gorgeous and elevated.
Here’s the “but”… the boxy way in which (all of them, frankly) are crafted makes the fit around the middle a little weird. The bottom of the armholes are much wider than the shoulders, so the fabric hangs almost as if it were cut as a “round” circle instead of the straight box it actually is. Maybe it’s my body (which is entirely possible!), and maybe it’s the size 6? But I have 2 chambray and 2 linen all in size 5 and they don’t hang like this one does. Shoulders fit perfectly.
I dunno… but I still love it (would love it more if it were just a tiny bit A-line instead of the box - removing that extra fabric under the arm would bring it closer to the body and more flattering.) But again, maybe that’s just on me. I’m a weirdo - still giving it 5 stars!
I love the feel and the fit- will be taking my white one to Miami next month!
I have written to you 3 times i would like to return it and have not gotten a response with a return label. The shirt i found uncomfortable itchy and rough. Please respond to my return.
Yup 4 black shirts. They wear like iron, wash very well by hand and iron once. Stay pressed and good looking for weeks. And are a very handsome shirt
I loved this shirt when I received it, in size 3 to make it large and comfy, I wore it constantly. I bought the recommended laundry soap when I ordered the shirt, and made sure the water was cold. Despite this, the shirt began to shrink. After approximately 5 washings, it is now too small for me to wear. If I had to do it again, I would dry clean the shirt to keep the size true. The color stayed true, so the shrinking is confusing.
