YOU'VE GIVEN 4% BACK!
FOUR was founded on the idea of creating women’s apparel within a community that honors the makers, the wearers and the values that connect us all. We’ve committed to giving 4% of our net profits back to the community where your collection is made and we’re proud to say we’ve made our first donations in honor of The Work Shirt.
PART I
We made The Work Shirt donation in two parts, the first for $8,375.30 to the Chinese-American Planning Council. Our NYC community of sewers have recognized the CPC as the local organization providing the greatest impact by offering meaningful opportunities for themselves and their extended families across all generations. The CPC's mission is to promote the social & economic empowerment of Chinese-American, immigrant & low-income communities.
The purchase of your Work Shirt helps serve over 125,000 community members achieve their goals spanning across education, family, career & community:
89,000 Community members supported with Covid-19 resources & vaccinations. 549 adult literacy students learned English.
406 individuals were supported by the Career Center. 382,000 pounds of food were distributed to families and seniors in Brooklyn, Queens & Manhattan.
PART II
The second donation was made to FABSCRAP for $2,791.77. Fabscrap is a transparent recycling & reuse service that has been innovating at the intersection of sustainability & fashion for almost five years.
After each production run of The Work Shirt we sort the remaining cloth into two groups. We save everything large enough to use for our moth-repellent sachets & personal protection masks. The remaining material is collected by Fabscrap to be sold to crafters or recycled. The purchase of The Work Shirt supports Fabscraps innovative model of cultivating a network of designers, makers & sustainability leaders who are invested in a creative disruption of waste.
We sincerely thank all of our Collectors, the CPC and FABSCRAP for their generosity and service to the NYC community and the planet.
