I wish I could say better things about this sweatshirt. It's very comfortable, but it really should cost much less, especially for a sweatshirt that immediately makes you look like a couch potato. Not at all the sort of item that you can get away with wearing on casual dress workdays as it's an instant frumpifier. The white terry fabric on the underside of the sweatshirt is revealed when you roll up the sleeves--which must be done if you're average height--and gets caught in things, so it starts to look frayed and dingy-colored quickly. It's now my favorite and most expensive relaxing at home garment.
Let me just say how much I love my first piece from this collection. It’s crafted from an amazing textile that’s soft and warm. I’m wearing as I’m typing! I’m looking forward to wearing it for years to come. My minor quibble is with sizing. I’m 5’ 3” and the size 3/medium is very oversized - sleeves require a couple of rolls to make them functional and it’s long on my body, making it difficult to tuck. It’s a nice relaxed fit otherwise. Perhaps more colors in the future?
My sweatshirt just came today. I love it so much, I’m going to be wearing this all the time. My style is very casual and comfortable, so this sweatshirt is perfect for me. It is so soft, I can’t believe it has wool in it! And the light grey is the perfect color to go with anything. This feel so luxurious, and the tailoring and fabric justifies the price.
My only “complaint” is that it is so oversized for me. It would be nice if it came in petite sizes or that FOUR offered a size 0 in their clothes. As someone who is very short and small (5’0” 110 lbs), I am drowning in this sweatshirt. I know oversized is in style right now, but I want something that will be in style forever, and extra large tops making layering difficult.
My sweatshirt arrived while the weather was still warm here in California. I tried it on and thought it had possibilities but didn't start truly appreciating it until this past week when the weather cooled down. This garment is elegantly tailored with a yoke in the back, panels under the arms, and perfectly sized notches at the side hem. It's comfy and roomy but not sloppy and suits the my casual lifestyle. This is a top that's built for layering. The half and half blend of cotton and wool that goes into the French terry fabric makes the top soft and cozy. I love to wear it with a cotton thermal shirt underneath when I go riding in my bakfiets with the pups. I'm still deciding whether to have the length of the sleeves shortened, as they are a bit long for me. My only real issue with this garment is that I need to order another because I want to wear it all the time!
I wear it every single day. I originally didn't intend to keep it but, once I tried it on, I had not taken it off. It is soft, comfortable and has just enough finishing touches for me to feel like I can pull it off in the workplace as easily as schlepping around the house in my sweats. I love the boxy style since it works for my swimmer's shoulders but the cut is neat enough that it falls nicely and isn't just another frumpy baggy sweatshirt.
Cons: the price is too high, even for the intent of the brand and the small batch approach. And agree that the sleeves are too long, even for the intended style.
